Do you often read the labels of the product you’re buying? Companies are required to list the ingredients according to their content in the product.
This is somehow acceptable, as you are well aware of the stuff you consume. But, you should definitely skip the Heinz ketchup. Here are some of the ingredients listed on the label:
High fructose corn syrup
Heinz ketchup contains “tons” of high fructose corn syrup. But, producers played smart and listed the same ingredient twice, of course, under a different name – corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup.
The body metabolizes it in the same way it does with sugar. It causes spikes in blood sugar levels, and burdens the liver. High fructose corn syrup is a GMO product, and it leads to uncontrolled weight gain, heart disease, diabetes, and poor immunity.
Distilled vinegar and sugar
The Heinz ketchup contains even more sugar. You get 4 additional grams for every tablespoon of ketchup.
Distilled vinegar is made from GMO corn.
Why would you use anything made from GMO ingredients, sugar, chemicals, and other toxins? The Heinz ketchup contains no nutrients, and it can’t be referred as food.
Let’s not forget that this product contains artificial additives, salt, and onion powder. It has no fiber, no protein, and no nutrients.
