Last week, The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) took furious criticism when it denied Charlie’s parents the right to seek medical care in the United States, essentially sentencing the baby to death. The court contends that the baby is too ill and that the parents do not have the right to make this type of decision on behalf of their baby.
Charlie’s mother fought back, saying, “Charlie should get a chance to try these medications”, explaining: “He literally has nothing to lose but potentially a healthier, happier life to gain.”
Well now she has President Trump in her corner of growing support for her cause. This morning the President tweeted he’d be more than happy to help on behalf of the United States.
If we can help little #CharlieGard, as per our friends in the U.K. and the Pope, we would be delighted to do so.

Now the question becomes, will Europe move on it? The court’s ruling seems final.
